Coco heatstroke

Thanks for visiting my blog again,

Yesterday my family was all here in Kelantan because my father invited his friends to come over to KB to have barbecue and golf. About 20 guest from KL came over and I think they had fun in Kelantan playing golf. We had the barbeque at night and it was enjoyable night. One of my father's friend brought his family and me and my sister gave them tour in KB. We went Pasar Siti Khatijah and they bought batik, serunding and keropok lekor. We had fun with them.

My horse named Coco was terribly ill yesterday. When we went back from KB, about 3pm, we saw Coco was restless. She looks like wanting to say something to us because she was following us in her paddock when we walk near her. Suddenly she loss control of herself and hit the tree and she fell down on the ground. My sister screamed loudly when she saw her falling down. She breathed rapidly and she looks damn tired. I immediately called for vet and ask him to come. I described the horse condition and the doctor told me to let the horse rest on the ground. He also asked us to pour alot of water on her to cool her body down. We suspected she's having heatstroke. It was a hot day. We always provide the horse enough water but it happens that this time she did not drink alot. So she can't sweat.

The doctor came quite late and we were angry about that because the horse looks like dying. It happens that my friend is studying medicine for 4 years and she knows how to treat human in this situation. She asked me to massage her, strech her legs, put soak cloth on the horse's face, etc. While waiting for doctor we try to give the horse to drink and finally she looks better. After 1 hour finally the doctor came and injected her with some medicine so that she goes to sleep. Then he injected intravenous so that she got back her energy by regaining electrolyte. We felt relieve when she looks better. The doctor confirmed that shes having heatstroke. We were advised by someone to put fan in her stable next time.

Today I saw Coco still lying in her stable. She still looks tired. I don't know what is going to happen to her. Hope she get well soon. I felt sad because I'm going to leave her later because I'm going to go back to school tonight. Okay, I'm going to show you some pictures. Sorry the pictures are unclear because it was taken using my phone, Dopod, and its an old phone.

Hopefully she'll be alright.
