Tractors

Hello,

Last week and this week, I went to Tractors Academy to learn about heavy equipment. The place is at Tractors Malaysia office in Puchong. I joined this course was because I just want to know some knowledge about how heavy equipment works and some technical skill. I'm not planning to become a mechanic of heavy machine. About 5 people who joined the course are about my age who just finished their SPM exam just like me. The rest of the people are like 19 to 21 years old who really wants to learn and wants to work as a heavy equipment mechanic. Yesterday, I had the chance to drive a 527 dozer/skidder, 938G Wheel Loader and Caterpillar Hydraulic excavator. Of course my trainer was beside me when I was driving these vehicles. I like to drive the wheel loader because its just like driving a car but we can also control the front bucket to take some sand. In Tractors Malaysia, there is a demo area for heavy equipment to be tested. So I enjoyed myself playing with sand in the demo area. My trainer was fierce and scold me a few times because I didn't understand what he asking me to do. The excavator was quite hard, but my trainer helped me with the joysticks. But the trainer was actually a friendly guy and he told me that safety is very important.

Actually, before I drive these vehicles, the safety briefing was going on in a lecture room for 2 days. It was so boring. Before that we watched several safety video clips. The trainer wants to make sure that we really remember to follow safety procedures. I felt proud of myself that I already drove a tractor eventough I haven't got my driving licence yet. Speaking of driving licence, I still haven't sit for Undang Test eventough I went for 5 hours course two weeks ago. The driving school still haven't contact me.

It was very boring to wait for my turn to play with these heavy machine but it was exciting to have the control of a big machine. This week programme is called Machine Familiazation. 3 days we got to play with these machine. But next week I will no more play with the machine, I will have to do bench fitting and already starting to learn about how to fix heavy machine. I know some of you might see heavy equipment as a boring thing to learn but I found it quite interesting. Ok, see you soon.

New Year 2008

I really missed 2007 alot. But I prefer 2008 because I don't have to go to school anymore. But I'll miss school someday.

I didn't do anything on the midnight of 2008 and I was in Kelantan sleeping that night. In Kelantan almost everything that is entertaining are not allowed. There are no night clubs or parties going on there so it was not so happening celebrating new year's eve in Kelantan. Maybe just a few parties happening at hotels and houses. Most people in Kelantan prefer to celebrate new year's eve in Terengganu because it is more happening there. Here in Kelantan, even the 1st of January was not a public holiday. I suppose people here does not celebrate new year.

In 2008 I plan to buy a car that is maybe Isuzu Citation. But my sister hate that car because it is big and ugly. She says its like buying another trash. My father kind of agree with that car because its easy to maintain and fuel effieciency. But maybe my sister was right, the car does not look so good. I'll have to look for another cheap second hand car. OK, I've got to go out with my mom now. Talk to you soon.
